Farewell
The Pie Truck is closing… sad sad sad we know. San Francisco needs to make it easier for mobile vendors to get started!
Tonight (Saturday Dec 19th) around 10pm we’ll be saying farewell at the Trappist with our last batch of pies and lots of hot Belgian fries. Come and get em!

Foodbuzz!
The Pie Truck has been selected to be a part of the Foodbuzz Food Blogger Festival in the Ferry Building in San Francisco! It is an honor to be invited to be part of the event on opening night, Friday, November 6th along with 8 other mobile food vendors.
Although it is not open to the public (it’s an event for food bloggers), we wanted to share with all of you the good news!

Trappist on Thursday
At Oaktoberfest, we had the pleasure of drinking Linden Street Brewery’s Burning Oak Black Lager. It is DEE-licious! As Linden Street’s website describes, it is a “toasty, slightly sweet, light-bodied black beer.” And where can you find Linden Street Brew’s delicious beers? The exclusive brewery based in the Port of Oakland serves its beers at Brown Sugar Kitchen (West O), Fireside Lounge (Alameda), Penelope (Oakland), Chez Panisse (Berkeley), and The Trappist (of course).
Tomorrow night, The Pie Truck will be parked somewhere nearby The Trappist from 11:30pm until we sell out.

German Biergardens of Fruitvale Past
The Pie Truck will be at Oakland’s own Oaktoberfest in the Dimond this coming Saturday from 11am-6pm.
In celebration of a time when German beerhalls lined MacArthur Blvd in Fruitvale, they will feature delicious local breweries including: Lagunitas, Rubicon, Pyramid, Trumer Pils, Dempsey’s, Jupiter’s, Moylan’s, Drake’s, Pacific Coast Brewery, Thirsty Bear, Speakeasy, and Santa Cruz Ale among many others. There’s also going to be a Homebrew competition!
The Pie Truck will have the Steak Pie and the no-meat Veggie Sausage Pie along with sides of Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage and a delicious Potato Salad.
Come on out and join us in a celebration of the Dimond’s past and present.

Oakland Fridays!
We’ve been hard at work over here in the pie world and we’re working on making more regular appearances out there in the world. We’ve been keeping the pie calendar pretty full and we’ve got some outings coming up. We’re catering a private event tonight at Addis Creson in Berkeley with some other street food vendors and it should be a good time.
Last weekend we came out for a little bit in Oakland on Saturday night and had a lot of fun. We’re going to try to start hitting the streets in Oakland more regularly and tomorrow (Friday 10/2) we’ll be in two spots. You can find us earlier in the evening (approximately 6pm-8pm) at the Art Murmur somewhere around Telegraph and Grand. We are hoping to be parked somewhere on Valley St. but to be sure, keep an eye on our twitter feed or ask around at the Murmur.
After that (if we have pie left to sell) we’ll be down at The Trappist on 8th St. between Broadway and Washington from around 10pm until we’re sold out.
Friday 10/2
Oakkland Art Murmur: 6-8pm
Trappist: 10-1am
